Recently, the China Scholarship Council (CSC) announced the list of funded projects for the 2023 Country and Area Research Talent Support Program (Project-based). The “China-Europe Public Policy and Risk Governance” Country and Area Research Talent Support Program, which was declared by our school, was approved to receive national funding support for a tentative period of three years (2023-2025) with a funding of about 1.3 million. During the project period, teachers and graduate students of management, sociology, economics and public policy can be sent to Europe for exchange and academic visits every year, which is a new start of internationalization in 2023 for our school.

In November 2022, after receiving the notification of the project declaration, the School of Public Finance and Public Administration held a kick-off meeting for the project declaration, and the International Office invited several experts from both inside and outside the university to hold a meeting to discuss and revise the draft of the declaration, and after several editions of polishing, the project was finally successfully approved. The successful promotion of the project will help the School of Public Finance and Public Administration to improve the overall level of management (social governance, risk governance), public health policy, sociology (population aging) and other disciplines in the areas of personnel training, faculty development, international exchange and cooperation, social services and teaching and research, and this will help the Institute of Public Policy and Governance in the School of Public Finance and Public Administration to develop with high quality, thus contributing to the construction of first-class disciplines of our school.

It is reported that this program aims to serve the country to promote diplomacy with great power characteristics, promote the construction of a community of human destiny, promote the new international relations between China and Europe, so they can cooperate to train and reserve a number of high-level national and Area research talents with international vision, knowledge of international rules, with public policy and social governance capabilities, familiar with the content, scope and mode of China-Europe public governance policy, dedicated to promote the construction of China-Europe public governance cooperation relations and cultivating related academic research. The approval of the program will further strengthen the cooperation and exchange between our school and China-Europe cooperative overseas institutions, help the School of Public Finance and Public Administration to reach a higher level of internationalization, develop the international vision of our faculty and students and provide them with more study and exchange channels.
